Pretty good food but also pretty expensive for what it was. Watch yourself; our waitress added unrequested refills and sides to our order and seemed to be 'powdering her nose' once to often.

I love going to Yamagoya but I wish they had an online check-in service similar to Tommy Guns. Like you can check in online and if you're not there within 10 minutes of the text or whatever your table is forfeit to next in line. I get that certain systems like these are sometimes difficult to implement but it is brutal to try to go here if you live out of town and can't be there an hour ahead of opening like the locals. My point stands with your response, it's pointless to go if you live out of town. I'm not going to drive over an hour to get told it's a 2+ hour wait. People don't go to get food because they think they'll be hungry 2-3 hours after leaving the house. Also it's important to take into account that a lot of people don't drink for a variety of reasons so to just tell people to go down to a wine bar and wait for a text is flat out ignorant.

Not recommend this place because of the low quality food. I order sushi and I found a long hair inside it. That was really make my feel bad.

This place always seems to be busy, which is a good sign. My husband and I decided to drop in to see if we could snag a table. Only had to wait a few minutes. We lucked out with one of the private rooms. The service was great and the food was delicious. Glad we went
